Coating Place, a 50-year-old contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) specializing in Wurster-based fluid bed technology for controlled release and taste masking, has announced leadership appointments.

Following its recent announcement of a growth investment from 1315 Capital, Coating Place appointed key personnel to support its growth initiatives and enhance its ability to serve customers in pharmaceutical and related markets.

Rob Schrepfer has been appointed to the company’s board of directors. Schrepfer currently serves as president of North American generics at McKesson, leading the generics, over-the-counter/consumer packaged goods, and biosimilars categories.

Ajay Damani has been appointed president of Coating Place, reporting to CEO Tim Breunig, and will join the company’s board of directors. Damani has had leadership roles spanning the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and animal health industries.
